We finished 2016 on a high note with the publication of our very first book in French, Spanish, Italian, and German. Now, thousands of families all over the world are enjoying the start of their very own language learning adventure.

Lots of you have been kind enough to share those first steps on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, and it’s been amazing to see so much support for the idea of using stories to inspire a love of languages. Please do keep the language learning love coming!

Language Learning on Social Media

Your language learning love!

We’ve also been getting lots of questions about what we’re doing next. We obviously want to keep creating stories that make languages more accessible to children, parents, and teachers. But we also want to make sure there are the tools available to help reinforce and build on the vocabulary introduced in each book.

That’s why we’ve decided to release more stories, more often and with more additional resources. So today, we’re delighted to announce the launch of our monthly Story Box Club!

Each box will be themed around a beautifully illustrated fairy tale or original story that uses our Clockwork Methodology™. But it will also include an audiobook, activity book, flashcards, and other resources to keep the language learning fun going.

The contents have been designed to work together to ensure that children are having loads of fun whilst covering the four basic elements of learning a new language: listeningreadingwriting, and speaking.

Here’s how it all fits together…

  • The audiobook arrives before anything else, giving kids a chance to listen to the pronunciation of new words and practise speaking them out loud.
  • When the story box arrives, the children can read the book by themselves or with a parent or teacher, reinforcing their understanding of new words and beginning to recognise them in their written form.
  • Finally, the games and activities introduce even more new words whilst offering lots of opportunities for the little ones to practise writing the words and phrases they’ve learnt.

Because a new box comes every month, old vocabulary can be refreshed, new vocabulary can be introduced, and you’ll be able to support your children in learning a foreign language in a way that’s fun and accessible. We hope you’ll enjoy using it as much as we’re enjoying making it!

PS: you will learn too, but probably not as quickly as the young’uns!

WE CAN’T WAIT FOR YOU TO JOIN THE STORY BOX CLUB. THE ONLY QUESTION LEFT IS, DO YOU WANT IT IN FRENCH OR SPANISH?
